Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos is not getting carried away by the talks about the dominance of the English Premier League by supporters of the league.

The German midfielder has mocked the idea that the Premier League is better than all other major European leagues due to its large TV broadcast rights money.

Kroos has now blasted the EPL as he says they are yet to win any international trophy this year and players who plan on winning trophies prefer playing in other leagues, Marca reports.

"The Premier League clubs haven't won an international title this year. The TV money has been significantly higher in England for years and yet it hasn't resulted in English teams winning everything.
"Thank God, not all players are looking only at the salary, but also at winning a lot of titles and growing more."

Toni Kroos has won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup this year with Real Madrid.

Kroos backs European Super League idea

Meanwhile, Toni Kroos Toni has come out in support of the European Super League proposal, which was first floated in 2021 and immediately angered soccer supporters all over the continent Football Espana reports.

The 32-year-old German midfielder stressed that the idea of the Super League is something that should have been in place a long time ago.

Kroos, however acknowledged that he does not think it will happen whilst he is still a player as the football world has never fully accepted the idea.

The Brazilian midfielder sealed a shock move to the English Premier League giants after the Red Devils matched Los Blancos asking fee of €70.7 million.

Kroos, via his podcast, revealed he was surprised by Casemiro’s decision to swap playing in the UEFA Champions League for the Europa League.
