English giants Manchester United are set to pursue a move in signing Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro as the summer transfer window enters its final two weeks.

Erik Ten Hag's team were hammered at Brentford 4-0 drubbing on Saturday, once again increasing the desire for additional reinforcements.

The Old Trafford outfit have shown interest in Barcelona anchorman Frenkie de Jong throughout the summer but are yet to secure a deal for the ex-Ajax midfielder.

According to Marca, Manchester United have there turned their attention to Brazil international Casemiro in order to solve their long-term engine room issues.

The Red Devils are planning to make an audacious bid for the five-time UEFA Champions League winner, though, the Spanish club are unlikely to agree to a sale regardless.
