The striker was last on loan at Getafe but was called up to Real Madrid’s pre-season training camp, where he hopes to force his way into the first team.

While Mayoral has hopes of securing a place in the squad for the 2022/23 season, Real Madrid are looking to cash in on the player.

After he scored six goals in 18 appearances for Getafe, the club are said to be keen on making his move permanent. Marca recently reported that Real Madrid have set the asking price at €10 million.

It's not only Getafe interested in securing his signature, though. Celta de Vigo are also monitoring the situation, and clubs in the Serie A are reportedly also keen on securing the striker’s services.

Real Sociedad secure 50/50 transfer of Japanese forward Takefusa Kubo from La Liga champions Real Madrid

Real Madrid aren't planning on bringing in any more players this season, but they are willing to part with a few before the new season starts.

Takefusa Kubo is the latest name to be departing the Santiago Bernabeu as Los Blancos trim their squad ahead of the new season.

The 21-year-old Japanese forward signed for Madrid from FC Tokyo in 2019 but has been sent out on loan during his three years at the club.
