  • Son Heung-min is said to be on the radar of European champions Real Madrid, who are searching for a new forward
  • Having failed in their pursuit of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, the La Liga champions are now weighing up other options
  • Quite a number of forwards are being considered by Los Blancos and reports say Son could be poached

Spanish giants Real Madrid are said to be plotting a move to sign Son Heung-min from English Premier League club Tottenham ahead of the coming season.

The La Liga outfit failed in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland and now they are interested in bringing Son to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Frenchman Mbappe decided to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain while Erling Haaland signed for English club Manchester City, leaving Los Blancos chasing shadows, Daily Star reports.

According to football journalist Rudy Galetti, Real Madrid are now observing the profiles of a number of forwards as they are desperate to strengthen the squad.

Among the options is Son, who continues to impress in the Premier League, having scored a career-best 23 in the domestic competition last season.

Just after the Tottenham star claimed the Golden Boot along with Salah, manager Antonio Conte said as per London World:

“Honestly this guy is a very special guy. For sure, one of the best I have worked with but it also means that we did things right and made sure he was given a chance to go and do well.
"I’m so happy for him because what he has done is not easy in the Premier League and I’m so happy for the team."

Spurs on alert over Joao Felix’s availability

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have been made aware of Joao Felix's availability this transfer window.

Felix has often been seen as untouchable but Atletico Madrid's head coach Diego Simeone is said to have changed his stance.

An exciting swap deal could potentially be in the offing with Simeone interested in Giovanni Lo Celso.

Lo Celso spent the second half of last season on loan to Villarreal where he helped the Yellow Submarines reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Raheem Sterling warned against joining Chelsea

Sports Brief earlier reported that former Man City star Trevor Sinclair has warned Raheem Sterling against joining Chelsea this summer.

Sterling is believed to be a top transfer target for the Blues who are keen to strengthen their striking department ahead of next season.

Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly wants to make the England forward his first major signing, with the West Londoners currently in talks with Man City over a transfer deal.
