  • Real Madrid are set for a busy summer transfer window that will be marked by the departure of high-ranking squad members
  • Gareth Bale and Marcelo are already on their way out after the expiration of their contracts, while Isco will also be in search of a new home
  • According to reports in Spain, Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic are likely to be shipped out after an underwhelming spell in the Spanish capital

Newly-crowned European champions, Real Madrid, are in line to lose as many as seven first-team players this summer.

The imminent departure of the squad members comes just days after the La Liga giants were crowned this season's Champions League winners.

Carlo Ancelotti's men sunk Premier League heavyweights, Liverpool, 1-0 during the final of the competition staged in Paris on Saturday night, May 28.

Vinicius Jr's solitary goal in the second half of the clash marred with chaos and confusion was the only difference as Real Madrid were crowned Europe champions for the 14th time in their history.

Real Madrid facing mass exodus after Champions League glory

However, barely days after Real conquered Europe, the Spanish giants are staring at a mass exodus of players.

Mirror UK reports the majority of the players are out of contract, while others are looking to explore elsewhere.

Gareth Bale headlines the list of at least seven players on their way out, with the Welshman departing upon the expiration of his contract after a nine-year stay in the Spanish capital.

Marcelo and Isco are the other high-ranking squad members leaving the club, with the duo's contracts up in the air this summer.

Dani Ceballos and Mariano Diaz are also thought to be on the verge of exiting Real, with the former currently out of favour after his return to the club from Arsenal where he was on loan.

According to Marca, Real Madrid are desperate to offload the striker as he is unlikely to nail a starting role at the club.

The Spanish publication adds that Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic are also staring at uncertain futures at Santiago Bernabeu.

Thibaut Courtois rates his Ballon d'Or chances

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Thibaut Courtois has conceded there is no chance he will be winning this year's edition of the Ballon d'Or.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper had a fine performance during the Champions League final against Liverpool.

However, he believes that hardly a player playing in his position can be considered for the prestigious individual honour.
