Real Madrid fans gave their players a heroic welcome on Sunday as they flooded the streets of the Spanish capital to celebrate their 14th European glory.

The Spanish giants defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the final of the UEFA Champions League at the Stade de France on Saturday. Vinicius Jr's 58th minute strike made the difference.

In photos shared on social media, thousands of fans greeted the players while the team paraded the trophies won this season.

The players and technical team took turns as they lifted the trophies with fans chanting and singing their names.

Captain Marcelo, who is leaving the club at the end of June, delivered a heartwarming speech wishing the club success in the future.

Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr, the club's most influential players this season also spoke during the celebrations.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti became the first manager to win four UEFA Champions League titles as Los Blancos made history over the weekend.
