2nd Biggest robbery in champions league history ball is clearly played by Fabinho!
@joethomlinson added:
HOW is that not a goal? Surely it comes off Fabinho directly into Benzema? Am I missing something?
@JohnTerry26, a former Chelsea player posted:
How is that not a goal? I’m glad Peter Walton cleared it up for us. The rule clearly doesn’t make sense because when would a Liverpool player ever intentionally play Benzema the ball ? The fact it’s come off a Liverpool player surely means it’s a Goal?
@thebobertguy added:
I’d feel hard done by if I were a Real Madrid fan. I think a tackle is an intentional play of the ball, regardless of whether the ball hit the part of the body where the defender intended. Thus, Benzema was played onside. Goal should stand.

Yes, Benzema's goal should have stood after the ball came off Fabinho
