Real Madrid are set to move in for Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling after Kylian Mbappe's snub.

Mbappe was widely expected to join Madrid but chose to extend his Paris Saint-Germain contract by a further three years.

It is now understood that Real are considering approaching Sterling over a possible deal. Sterling is entering into the final year of his contract at City and so far, there haven't been any rumours about a possible extension.

The England international has been a long-term admirer of the Los Blancos, according to the Daily Star.

He gave an in-depth interview, detailing his love for the Spanish giants. It is understood that he habours the dream of playing for them one day.

And now after missing out on both Erling Haaland and Mbappe, Real Madrid President will be out to make a statement signing this summer. The club is ready to offer 50 million euros to land the 27-year-old.

Sterling has been in and out of Pep Guardiola's side and will be keen to seek a move elsewhere as he hopes to be part of Gareth Southgate's squad for the World Cup.

Kylian Mbappe declares his support for Real Madrid in the Champions League final

Sports Brief reported that Kylian Mbappe had declared he will cheer Real Madrid on in the finals of the UEFA Champions League against Liverpool.
