According to the Arsenal legend, clubs in Europe fear Real Madrid while the Madrid giants are also wary of their archenemy FC Barcelona.

The Los Blancos had to stage fightbacks against Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and most recently Man City to underline their supremacy in Europe's elite competition.

Despite Madrid's dominance in Europe and in the La Liga this season, Henry contends that Barcelona, who have endured a torrid campaign, still have a number on Real Madrid and his comments were evidenced in the last time both sides clashed with Barca thrashing Madrid 4-0.

"All European clubs fear Real Madrid and Madrid fear Barcelona," Henry was speaking on CBS Sports as quoted by Marca.

Henry faced Madrid on six occasions during his stint with Barca, where he played between 2007 and 2010.

Henry backs Liverpool to win this season's Champions League

Ahead of the Champions League finals between two of Europe's most celebrated clubs, Henry has backed Liverpool to avenge the 2019 defeat in Kyiv against Real Madrid.

“But I think Liverpool will win the Champions League. They’re stronger than Madrid.”

The finals has been slated for May 28 at the Stade de France.

Henry names ex-Super Eagles defender as his toughest opponent

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former France international and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has named ex-Nigerian defender Taribo West as one of his two toughest opponents, Mirror reports.

Henry also named former England star Paul Scholes as the other tough opponent he faced in his football career before he retired.

The Frenchman was a dominant figure in the Premier League, but before then he had spells with clubs in Italy as well as in his native France.
