Carlo Ancelotti has become the first football manager in history to reach the final of the Champions League five times following his side's win over Manchester City.

Manchester City would have themselves to blame on Wednesday night, 4 May, for not holding to their 1-0 lead thereby conceding two late goals from Rodrygo to push the match into extra time.

And at the extra time, Karim Benzema who is the man of the moment scored the winner for Real Madrid via a penalty for Los Blancos to win the clash 3-1.

Ancelotti and his wards however qualified for the Champions League final 6-5 on aggregate and will face Liverpool in the final.

Following his side's success over the weekend, Ancelotti and his players basked in uncontrolled joy and celebrations.

He was captured in a photo with Vinicius Junior, Eder Militao, David Alaba and Rodrygo Goes with the experienced trainer smoking a big brown cigarette, with the photograph going viral.

Explaining why he posed with the cigarette, Ancelotti confirmed he does not smoke but rather his holding the cigarette was only for the picture but not a sign of his lifestyle.
