  • With Real Madrid, Gareth Bale has won 14 trophies, including several Champions League titles
  • This however did not stop Spanish outlet Marca from publishing a scathing article on the Weslhman, labelling him a ‘parasite’
  • Bale’s recent stint at the Santiago Bernabeu has been marred by injuries and off-field antics

Spanish newspaper Marca has launched another stinging criticism of former Tottenham winger Gareth Bale, terming the 32-year old Welshman a ‘parasite’ among Real Madrid players.

Bale, who joined Real Madrid in 2013, has had a fairly successful stint with Los Blancos, winning 14 trophies in his nine years with the club.

However, his spell with the Spanish side has not been without its fair share of controversy, as he has often had his professionalism questioned by media.

His current contract at Real Madrid runs out at the end of the current season, and he is almost certain to leave with another trophy under his belt as the Spanish giants are well on course to clinching the La Liga.

Despite his impending exit, it has not stopped sections of media from coming for him once again.

Journalist Manuel Julia Dorado, wrote a scathing piece in Marca, terming Bale’s transfer to Real Madrid a ‘misfortune’.

'The Bale parasite came from the cold and rainy Britannia,” the article started.
'He settled in Spain, at Real Madrid, where, masked, he first showed diligence and love for the guest, but then his nature led him to sip blood without giving anything in return. Well, more than blood, he drunk, and drinks, the club's euros.

'He laughs, applauds, throws himself on the ground, sings, as a kind of humiliating ceremony, which, luckily, has an expiration date, like all misfortunes.'

Unplayed Bale blamed for el Classico humbling

Incredibly, Dorado’s piece also somehow found a way to drag some blame on Bale for Real Madrid’s 4-0 humiliation in the el Classico despite him not making the squad.

The article mainly revolved around the notion that Bale took international duty more seriously than his own club.

Since August, Bale has only played for 69 minutes across two matches.

Eden Hazard confused at Real Madrid

Sports Brief also recently shared an unfortunate update on Eden Hazard’s situation at Real Madrid.

According to reports, Hazard has completely fallen out of favour in Real Madrid has left him wanting to consider his future at the club.

Those close to Hazard say that the Belgian was fully fit and was hungry to feature in the game against Barcelona, but omission from the game left him confused.
