  • Eden Hazard’s career at Real Madrid could be coming to an end if latest reports are anything to go by
  • Hazard was left frustrated after being overlooked by Carlo Ancelotti for the el Classico as Real Madrid succumbed to a 4-0 defeat
  • The Belgian reportedly feels as though his Real Madrid career is ending after failing to establish himself under Carlo Ancelotti

Eden Hazard may well be on his way out of Real Madrid, as latest reports suggest the 31-year-old is ‘confused and frustrated’ at the club.

Having signed for Los Blancos in 2019 for a staggering €100 million, Hazard was tipped to hit the ground running at the club and perhaps replicate the class that he exhibited at Chelsea.

But a combination of injuries and fitness problems has seen Hazard struggle to adapt to life in Spain, and three seasons in, not much has changed for the Belgian.

In Real Madrid’s latest game, a 4-0 humbling at the hands of Barcelona in the el Clasico, Hazard was left on the bench despite the fact that Carlo Ancelotti clearly needed to tweak his squad to compete with a resurgent Barca.

His absence from Sunday’s game meant Hazard has now failed to feature in all 7 el clasico matches since his arrival in Spain.

GOAL reports that Hazard has completely fallen out of favour in Real Madrid has left him wanting to consider his future at the club.

“He really wanted to play in the el Classico

Those close to Hazard say that the Belgian was fully fit and was hungry to feature in the game against Barcelona, but omission from the game left him confused.

“He really wanted to play the game. He's sad. He has never been as fit as he is today in his entire career.” a close aide of Hazard was quoted by GOAL.

Ancelotti, whose side knocked out Paris Saint Germain from the Champions League, seems to prefer the likes of Vinicius Junior on the left, while Rodrygo and Marco Asensio are in competition to support striker Karim Benzema on the right.

While his future is yet to be decided, it is looking highly likely that Hazard could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, with the Premier League his most likely destination.
