Real Madrid ace Marco Asensio believes Eden Hazard will one day open up on what went wrong with him after moving to Santiago Bernabeu.

Eden Hazard's struggles at Real

Hazard's two-and-half-year spell with Real Madrid has been punctuated with a string of injuries which have hampered his progress at the club.

The winger has actually spent more time on the sidelines than he has on the pitch, with his worrying dip in form seeing him score just four goals since his arrival in Spain.

Even with Real currently topping the standings under Carlo Ancelotti, the 31-year-old has had minimal influence in the fine run of results.

The former Chelsea playmaker is now being tipped to depart in the summer, with Real believed to be ready to take a huge hit on the huge fee they paid for his services.

Asensio on Hazard's struggles

However, before then, Asensio contends Hazard will one day open up on the reasons behind his underwhelming spell in Spain.

“I see him well. He trains well, I see him wanting to give Madrid joy, but many things have been put together, some injury… it’s difficult to know," The Sun quoted Asensio saying.
