Brazil football icon Ronaldo has declared Karim Benzema the world's best striker ahead of Robert Lewandowski.

Despite entering the twilight years of his career, Benzema is still going strong and has already scored 24 goals in just 28 matches for Real Madrid this term.

His impressive goalscoring prowess Real now has him sitting fourth on the club's all-time scorers list with 303 goals to his name.

Lewandowski is equally enjoying the best form of his life, finding the back of the net 34 goals in 27 games so far this season for Bayern Munich.

But while discussing who he feels is the most prolific striker in the world, Ronaldo declared there is no doubt Benzema is ahead of the pack with Lewandowski closely behind.

"Benzema, no doubts about it," Ronaldo said on Bobo TV via Football Italia.

"Lewandowski after him," he continued.

The football legend also had a place for Borussia Dortmund hotshot Erling Haaland, tipping him for greatness ahead of Kylian Mbappe.

"Haaland will become the No 1, but the other two are better than him at the moment," the 45-year-old observed.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Kylian Mbappe is in line to become the second-best earning footballer in the world after reportedly agreeing to a stunning deal to join Real Madrid in the summer.
