Barcelona midfielder Pedri marked his club’s LaLiga title triumph with a personal milestone, sharing photos on Instagram featuring his girlfriend Alejandra Dorta — the first time he has publicly posted her on social media.
The images were uploaded following Barcelona’s 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in El Clásico on Sunday, May 10, a result that secured the 2025/26 LaLiga championship for the Blaugrana. Pedri, 22, was pictured on the pitch alongside Dorta as the celebrations unfolded, with separate footage also showing the couple briefly kissing and embracing during the post-match festivities.
For Barcelona supporters, the moment has been widely described as a “hard launch” — internet slang for a deliberate and unambiguous public introduction of a romantic partner. The post has since circulated extensively across social media platforms.
The relationship between Pedri and Dorta was first reported in October 2025 by Spanish journalist Javi de Hoyos, who revealed that the two, both aged 22, were dating exclusively. Within days of that report, Pedri followed Dorta on social media, fuelling further speculation. According to Hoyos, Pedri introduced Alejandra to his family in November 2025.
Their first confirmed public appearance together came on December 14, 2025, when the couple attended the Premier Padel finals at Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi arena, accompanied by several other Blaugrana players. That sighting was widely regarded as the first concrete public confirmation of their relationship.
Dorta, a native of Tenerife currently based in Madrid, keeps a notably low profile. Her Instagram account remains private, and she has made only occasional appearances at Camp Nou, where she has been spotted watching matches from the stands alongside Pedri’s family.
In a 2025 interview, Pedri was asked whether he considered himself fortunate in his personal life. “Right now, yes,” he replied with a smile, without directly naming Dorta. Given the timing of the question, the comment was widely interpreted as a reference to her.
The public reaction has been broadly positive, with many fans noting the contrast between this development and Pedri’s long-standing reputation for keeping his private life entirely separate from his football career — a persona supporters had previously characterised as being “married to football.”
On the pitch, Pedri has enjoyed a strong 2025/26 campaign, rebounding from the injury disruptions that limited his availability in previous seasons. His performances have been a central part of Barcelona’s title-winning run, adding further context to what has been a landmark period for the Spanish international.
With Barcelona having now secured the LaLiga title, attention turns to any remaining fixtures and potential cup commitments as the season draws to a close. Pedri, who came through the youth ranks at Las Palmas before joining Barcelona in 2021, remains one of European football’s most closely watched midfielders at just 22 years of age.
