Neymar gives statement to police in Brazil over assault allegation
- Neymar attended a police station over rape allegations leveled against him
- The 27-year-old was said to have assaulted a Brazilian lady in his Paris hotel last month
Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar has been invited by police in Brazil as investigations have been launched into a rape allegation levelled against him.
Najila Trindade Mendes de Souza, a Brazilian lady, accused the 27-year-old of forcing himself on her earlier in the week.

The lady alleges she was assaulted after the footballer became aggressive when she demanded he used protection during intimacy, after flying all the way from Brazil to Paris to meet him.

She added that she did want to bed him but when she demanded protection the footballer became aggressive and raped her.
The model appeared on Brazilian television to give her side of events just before a video emerged of her fighting with the Paris Saint-German star.

According to SunSport, the country's soccer confederation confirmed Neymar has been summoned to speak with cops over accusations.
After he was accused, the winger posted pictures and messages from his alleged victim on social media, without her permission.

Multinational organisation, Mastercard are said to have released a statement confirming they would be suspending the attacker until the situation had been “cleared up”, according to the newspaper O Estado de S Paulo.
On the other hand, Neymar has been ruled out of 2019 Copa America after suffering ankle injury during his side's friendly against Qatar.
