Christophe Galtier’s days as Paris Saint-Germain manager are numbered as the Ligue 1 giants have already started their search for the Frenchman’s replacement.

The Parisians have had an underwhelming campaign under the Frenchman this season having lost to Marseille in the Coupe de France and against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

According to Sportskeeda, PSG are considering hiring Roberto Mancini or Jose Mourinho as potential successors to Galtier as they have outlined both coaches as perfect fits for their ambitions.

The Ligue 1 champions have also reportedly held meetings with both managers ahead of a potential deal in the summer should Galtier be relieved of his position as PSG head coach.

Mourinho who has won the Champions League twice, currently manages AS Roma in Serie A while Mancini manages the Italian national team.

PSG continue talks with N'Golo Kante

Meanwhile, PSG have been in contact with the representatives of Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante as they look to lure the Frenchman back to Ligue 1, 90MIN reports.

Kante is set to become a free agent in the summer as his current deal with the English Premier League club is set to expire at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old is known to be happy in London and keen to remain in England's capital city although PSG have not yet given up hope of convincing the midfielder to leave Stamford Bridge.

Galtier laments PSG’s Champions League exit

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Christophe Galtier admitted Paris Saint-Germain had no option but to accept their latest early Champions League exit and move on.

The Frenchman although insisted the outcome of the last-16 tie against Bayern Munich would have been different had the visitors scored first in Wednesday's second leg.

PSG lost 2-0 to Bayern in Germany to lose the tie 3-0 on aggregate as the Parisians crashed out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage for the second consecutive season.
