Tebas wants Messi’s Barcelona return

Meanwhile, La Liga president, Javier Tebas has revealed he would want Messi to return to Barcelona after spending two seasons away from the Catalan giants, Barca Universal reports.

Tebas confessed it would be good for all parties involved to have the 'greatest player of all-time' back in the Spanish league following the forward’s departure in 2021 to join the Parisians.

Messi is the all-time leading scorer in La Liga, with 474 goals for Barcelona. He also holds the record for most goals scored in a single season, netting 50 times in the 2011-12 season.

PSG Ultras staging anti-Messi protest

In related news, Sports Brief reported on Messi's move to PSG not meeting the expectations of some club supporters, who are clearly upset with his performances of late.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner joined PSG amid much fanfare, with the club’s fans hoping the Argentine being on their team would guarantee a Champions League trophy.

However, PSG have failed to progress beyond the round of 16 since Messi’s arrival in Paris and were recently dumped out of Europe’s elite club competition by Bayern Munich.
