PSG Suffer Injury Setback As Mbappe Is Ruled of out Champions League Tie Against Bayern Munich

Kylian Mbappe is set to miss the first-leg of Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich, as confirmed by the French champions.
The 24-year-old forward picked up an abductor injury and was forced to leave the Ligue 1 game against Montpellier on Wednesday night, with just 21 minutes gone.
The Parisians have now confirmed Mbappe has been ruled out for three weeks, after tests were carried out on the forward to ascertain the seriousness of the injury, MARCA reports.
The injury to the French star comes as a huge blow to Christophe Galtier’s side, as they resume their Champions League campaign against Bayern without their best goalscorer.

PSG are set to host the six-time Champions League winners at the Parc des Princes, for the first leg of their round of 16 tie on February 14.
Mbappe will miss key games
Mbappe is also set to miss all three of PSG's next Ligue 1 fixtures against Toulouse, Marseille and Monaco, prior to their last-16 clash Champions League tie against the Bavarians.
The PSG forward has already notched 13 goals and has two assists from his 19 Ligue 1 outings for the Parisians this season.
Mbappe has also scored seven goals from his six appearances in the Champions League this year and would've likely hoped to add to that against the German giants.
Mbappe misses another penalty kick
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Mbappe missing from the spot on two occasions, during PSG's Ligue 1 game against Montpellier on Wednesday evening.
The Frenchman, who scored a hat-trick in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, uncharacteristically missed his effort from 12 yards on two occasions.
The 24-year-old had the opportunity to put PSG ahead after just seven minutes, but his effort was thwarted by Montpellier goalkeeper, Benjamin Lecomte.
