Kylian Mbappe missed from the spot on two occasions in Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 game against Montpellier on Wednesday evening.
Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick of penalties in the World Cup final, uncharacteristically missed his effort from 12 yards on two occasions.

However, his effort was thwarted by Montpellier's goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte, who correctly guessed the direction of Mbappe's effort but was adjudged to have stepped off the line.

Hence a second opportunity was given to the Frenchman to rewrite his earlier mistake, but it was a case of much ado about nothing as Mbappe missed the target yet again.
This time around, the post stood between his way and the first goal of the match as his effort struck the right post and even missed from the rebound.
Kylian would not have another opportunity to redeem his image after he sustained an injury shortly after his incredible miss from the spot.
The 2022 Golden Boot winner was subbed off after 21 minutes with Hugo Ekitike replacing him.

PSG win despite Mbappe blunder

After winning just one of their last four league games, this awkward trip for PSG saw them also lose Sergio Ramos to injury and have two goals disallowed before Fabian Ruiz put them ahead 10 minutes into the second half.
