  • Paris Saint-Germain supporters are worried about the latest dip in form for Lionel Messi at club level after the World Cup
  • Messi led Argentina to the World Cup title in December, scoring seven goals to become the best player of the tournament
  • The 35-year-old has only managed to score once in a competitive game for PSG since returning to the club after the World Cup

Lionel Messi fans are taking solace in the fact the Argentine skipper won the World Cup last year following the forward’s latest dip in form for Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi once again failed to hit peak form as PSG were held to a 1-1 draw at the Parc des Princes by 11th-placed Reims to derail their Ligue 1 title defence.

Riolo slams Messi, Neymar, Mbappe

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, three forwards for Paris Saint-Germain, have come under fire from French football journalist Daniel Riolo, Daily Post reports.

All three stars played below par as PSG were held to a 1-1 draw by Reims at the Parc des Princes, derailing the club’s push to retain their Ligue 1 title.

Riolo mentioned PSG's attackers as a weakness for Christophe Galtier's team, admonishing that Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe cannot be used in the same lineup.

Galtier aims dig at PSG attackers

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Paris Saint-Germain manager, Christophe Galtier is not pleased with his attacking trio and has taken a jab at them following the club’s latest setback in their title chase.

PSG were held to a 1-1 draw at the Parc des Princes by 11th-placed Reims, with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi all putting a below-par display for the French champions.

Galtier has now taken a swipe at his attacking trio, who have all underperformed since the resumption of football after the World Cup.
