Black Stars midfielder, Abdul Samed Salis has been named in L'Equipe's Ligue 1 team of the first round.

The RC Lens midfielder has been in scintillating form for the club, since joining them in the summer transfer window from Clermont Foot.

The 22-year-old has missed only one game in the first round, playing a key role in his team being second behind Paris Saint-Germain in the French league.

In the list released by L'Equipe, Salis is joined by three of his teammates, following their tremendous performances this season.

RC Lens goalkeeper, Brice Samba and defenders, Przemyslaw Frankowski and Kevin Danso form part of the defence and are joined by Marseille's Chancel Mbemba and Lille's Ismaily.

The PSG trio of Marco Veratti, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr also made the squad.

The other members of the team are Remy Cabella and Jonathan David, both of Lille.

Salis has been an integral member of Lens' squad this season, making 18 appearances in Ligue 1 this season. He was a member of Ghana's squad at the World Cup in Qatar.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Salis having to make reference to Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari, to give his mother an idea of what playing at the World Cup meant.

The RC Lens midfielder was selected for the tournament in Qatar, despite making just a single appearance for the national team prior to the World Cup.

Salis became one of Ghana's best players in the Middle East, even though the Black Stars suffered a group stage exit at the global showpiece.

Sports Brief also reported on Ghanaian midfielder, Salis joining French side RC Lens in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old was reported to have signed a five-year deal to join the top flight club from Ligue 1 rivals Clermont Foot.

The club confirmed the arrived on the talented Black Stars player via their official website on June 24 last year.
