French Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint-Germain received a warm reception on arrival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Parisians are currently in the Middle Eastern nation as part of their mid-season tour, having spent a day in Doha, Qatar.

On their arrival, the French champions received flowers after touching down on the tarmac, ahead of their much-talked-about exhibition game.

PSG will earn just over 10-million euros ($10-million) for the friendly game slated for Thursday at the King Fahd Stadium, per Al Jazeera.

Aside from the staggering amount being pocketed by the Parisians, the pre-match discussions have centred on perhaps the last clash between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Daily Mail reports.

PSG begins Winter Tour

PSG touched down in Doha, Qatar, en route to Saudi Arabia ahead of their friendly against a select side from Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.

The star-studded lineup of the travelling team for the winter tour includes World Cup winner Messi, Brazil's Neymar and Golden Boot winner Mbappe.

In photos and videos shared on social media, seen by Sports Brief, the playing contingent and staff touched down in Doha on Wednesday morning.

Sports Brief earlier reported that PSG has intensified the preparations for Thursday night's friendly meeting with the Saudi All-Star XI, led by Ronaldo.

Back in Qatar for the first time since winning the World Cup, Messi and a host of PSG's top stars once again created a sensation in the capital.

The star-studded contingent touched base with its fans and partners on their arrival, before being treated to the best of local cuisine in Doha.

During a public training session, right-back Achraf Hakimi was handed a dizzying moment by his mates Sergio Ramos, Messi, Mbappe and Neymar.
