Now, as PSG Talk reports, a potential clash between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is in the offing as early as January 19.

PSG in the Middle East

Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly set to go to Saudi Arabia to play a friendly match against a combined eleven of players, from Saudi clubs Al Nassr and Al Hilal, the Daily Star reported.

Messi returns to club training on January 2 and bar any unfortunate occurrences, should make it for the trip. He was granted a prolonged break after leading Argentina to World Cup glory two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo is expected to hit the ground running in the Middle East and fans are hoping he will be ready for selection at that time.

The Portuguese star's career might have taken a nosedive in recent months, but a match-up between him and his GOAT rival is still bound to be a showstopper.

Fans say Ronaldo is 'finished'

A section of football fans believe this is the end of Ronaldo's glittering career, following news of his move to Saudi Professional League side Al Nassr.

Sports Brief has reported that despite the lucrative nature of the 37-year-old's deal, a section of predominantly Manchester United football fans are not pleased with his latest career move.

They have now claimed the Portuguese star's switch to the Gulf region is a sign of his football legacy coming to a sad end.
