Kylian Mbappe’s absence from France’s latest training session left sections of fans concerned ahead of Les Blues’ quarter-final clash with England.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward has proven to be an integral part of Didier Deschamps’ side, with his five goals so far at the global spectacle helping his nation to break the so-called ‘champions curse’.
France face England on Saturday, December 10, and the whole squad was given Monday off following their victory over Poland.
But on Tuesday, they were back preparing for the clash against England on the training ground, with Mbappe a notable absentee.

According to Football London, Didier Deschamps’ coaching staff diffused fears of an injury as they claimed he was simply doing recovery work at the gym.
"Kylian Mbappé is not training with the France squad. He is indoors for a recovery session which was always the plan. He is not injured or tired or struggling!" journalist Julien Laurens stated on Twitter.
Mbappe already has a World Cup under his belt, as he won it as a 19-year old back in 2018.
So far in his young career, the Frenchman is yet to lose a game in the tournament.
The forward is in such frightening form that English pundits suggested the pacey England right-back Kyle Walker should be preserved for when the Three Lions take on Les Bleus.
Mbappe tops goal scorer chart
Argentina's Lionel Messi is second on the chart with three goals to his name, which has him equal to player including Spain's Alvaro Morata and Cody Gakpo from the Netherlands.
Four other players are also tied on three goals at the Mundial, with three of those stars still able to add to their respective tallies.
