  • Kylian Mbappe's mum, Fayza Lamari has heaped praise on the Paris Saint-Germain forward amid reports of a potential exit in January
  • Mbappé, who was the subject of multiple speculations this week, is reportedly unhappy and feels betrayed at PSG and wants to leave the club next year
  • Lamari is a former handball player who represented France in the sport and is said to be one of the driving forces behind Kylian’s incredible success as a player

Kylian Mbappe's mother, Fayza Lamari has revealed she is proud of the man the Paris Saint-Germain superstar has become.

Mbappe has dominated news headlines throughout the course of the week with reports indicating his unhappiness with the top executives of the French champions.

The 23-year-old is believed to be angling for a move away from PSG just five months after signing a lucrative three-year deal with the club.

Despite Luis Campos, PSG's football director, denying the fast-spreading reports, Mbappe and his camp have remained silent on the subject matter, Euro Sport reported.

However, his mother, Fayza Lamari, who attended an event organised by Mbappe's foundation, Inspired by KM, in Nîmes disclosed her admiration for the man his son has become.

“When he becomes a world champion, as a former sportswoman, I am indeed happy, but what I am most proud of is the man he has become," she said as quoted by Get French Football News.
"The time is not over. He still has time to grow as a person, but today I am proud of him, of course.”

Amid rumours of a potential summer move and the unabated reports of PSG's divided dressing room, the 23-year-old France international has been delivering his bit on the pitch.

He was on the scoresheet in midweek as PSG shared the spoils with Benfica in the Champions League and is expected to spearhead the attack ahead of Sunday's Ligue 1 top-liner against Olympique Marseille.

Mbappe's mum backs PSG star

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kylian Mbappé's reported unhappiness at the French club has reached new heights as the allegations of a smear campaign continue to do the rounds.

Paris Saint-Germain are accused of launching an online campaign against Mbappé and other PSG stars and media outlets.

As the investigation into the matter continues, Mbappé’s mother has now thrown her support behind her son, Marca reported.
