According to the 35-year-old forward, his middle son, Mateo, hates to lose, a trait identified with his eternal nemesis, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Interestingly, Messi's second child, Mateo, aged seven, which is Ronaldo's favourite number.

Speaking about his tough love towards his three sons Thiago, Ciro and Mateo, as quoted by Daily Star the former Barcelona talisman threw more light on Mateo's Ronaldo-like attitude: “That’s bad because he doesn’t like to lose at anything.
“When he loses he starts kicking off and argues with his brothers. He’s a terrible loser and to avoid problems I let him win many times.”

Messi sheds light on his strict approach towards his three sons

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Lionel Messi has disclosed he is strict with his three sons as the Paris Saint-Germain forward opened up on his parenting style.

Messi, who looks soft and unassuming in appearance, admitted he is stricter with his three children than his enchanting wife Antonela Roccuzzo.

"Between me and Antonela, I’m the one who tells the boys off most," explained Lionel Messi when discussing his family life in an interview with an Argentine journalist.
