Although they play together at PSG, Lionel Messi has said he wishes he and Neymar Jr played more together at Barcelona.

The two South American superstars played for Barcelona for four seasons together but Barca broke up the pair by selling the Brazilian to PSG for a world record fee.

Messi and Neymar lit up the Camp Nou for years, winning every trophy available, but Neymar's sudden exit still haunts Messi. The Argentina captain said that he wished he and Neymar had 'more fun' together, according to Get French Football News.

Neymar moved to Barcelona in 2013 from Brazilian outfit Santos. He and Messi had to wait for a couple of years before they developed an electric connection on the pitch, which devastated Europe together with Luis Suarez.

Both Messi and Neymar were considered among the best players in the world while at Barcelona and the seven-time Ballon d'Or feels he enjoyed playing with Neymar.

Neymar and I know each other by heart, we spent a lot of time in Barcelona. I would have liked to have more fun with him in Barcelona, but life brought us together in Paris. We are happy to be together. I love playing with him and being with him every day.

The two stars led PSG to Ligue 1 glory last season and are looking to repeat that this season. The Champions League has evaded the two players since they won it for Barcelona in 2015.
