  • French giants Paris Saint-Germain have now banned their players from drinking Coca-Cola and iced tea
  • This becomes the latest rule that the new football advisor Luis Campos has introduced as they look to launch yet another bid for the Champions League title
  • The players had initially been banned from going out to nightclubs or using their phones during meal times

Paris Saint-Germain has been a beehive of activities this summer. From the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino and Leonardo to the appointment of Christophe Galtier and Luis Campos as the new coach and technical director, respectively.

Then came the new changes that the duo introduced at the club in a bid to improve performance at the French giants. The players were banned from going out to nightclubs and not using their mobile phones during team sessions, among other rules.

This was followed by a public fallout of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar last weekend, creating many talking points online. The club has since moved in to resolve the issue.

PSG has now banned its players from drinking Coca-Cola and ice tea. Campos has brought in a new nutritionist at the club to help with players' diet and now the players have been banned from taking the fizzy drink.

Interestingly, as Talk Sports reports, the club has a running sponsorship deal with the multi-billion company running until 2024.

PSG head coach makes bold decision to resolve a standoff between Mbappe and Neymar

Sports Brief had earlier reported that the issue surrounding Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain can now be considered settled. Well, at least to the best of PSG's head coach Christophe Galtier's knowledge.

The two were understood to have had a long-standing misunderstanding that was brought to the public during last weekend's match against Montpellier.

Mbappe had earlier missed a penalty in the game and when the side got another penalty, he wanted to make amends. But Neymar refused to cede ground. Reports indicated that Mbappe was not happy with how the situation unfolded. It was one of at least three incidents that rocked the French star in a bad light in that game.
