  • Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly launched a painstaking process to cut down on their squad and expenses
  • At least seven unwanted stars have been shown the door and asked to find new suitors elsewhere before September 1st
  • Christophe Galtier, the new head coach, has apparently decided that he will not use them as he builds a new look team

Paris Saint-Germain are now ready to crack the whip on close to seven players who have been deemed surplus to requirements.

The new leadership of head coach Christophe Galtier and technical director Luis Campos have been rearranging things at the club.

The players have been warned to look for moves elsewhere as they are not a part of the coaches' plans. Striker Mauro Icardi and midfielder Ander Herrera headline the list.

Others include Layvin Kurzawa, Julian Draxler, Rafinha, Thilo Kehrer and Idrissa Gueye, who have now been asked to find other clubs before the lapse of the transfer window.

The group could now find themselves with PSG's second team, which plays in the fifth tier. The club has already brought in new faces like Hugo Ekitike, Renato Sanches, Vitinha and Nordi Mukiele to cover literally almost every position on the pitch.

Reports also indicate that they are set to complete a move for Napoli's midfielder Fabian Ruiz as they look to finally win the elusive Champions League title.

Antonio Conte bans four players from first-team training sessions

Sports Brief also reported that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has banned four players from his first-team training sessions. Conte is looking to fine-tune his squad before the closure of the transfer period.

The players include Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Sergio Reguillon and Giovani Lo Celso, who will now train away from the squad as the club looks to sell them.

The decision by Conte was communicated to the quartet, who are now supposed to look for new clubs before September 1st.
