  • Thomas Meunier, a former teammate of Neymar, claims the Brazilian playmaker no longer has the wow factor that made him a global sensation since joining Paris Saint-Germain
  • Neymar, who has less than 150 appearances under his belt as a PSG player, mustered 13 goals and provided eight assists across 28 matches in all competitions last term
  • According to multiple reports, PSG are willing to offload Neymar during the summer transfer window if they receive a suitable offer

Borussia Dortmund full-back Thomas Meunier believes Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has lost his magic touch.

Meunier, who admits to being a big fan of the Brazilian forward, reckons Neymar's level has dropped since switching Barcelona for the French capital at a world-record fee back in 2017.

The Belgian defender played alongside Neymar for three seasons before heading to the Bundesliga to sign for Dortmund in 2020.

The 30-year-old credited Neymar for Barcelona's famous 'Remontada' which saw the Catalan giants stage arguably the greatest comeback in the history of the Champions League to come from 4 goals down to beat PSG 6-1 at the Camp Nou, five years ago.

"The comeback is all about him. If I was 10, I would have had his poster in my room."

Neymar's stint with PSG has been largely hampered by niggling injuries and his future at the Parc des Princes remains uncertain despite the Brazilian's insistence on staying.

Neymar reacts to critics calling him out for diving

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Paris Saint-Germain livewire Neymar has given a sharp rebuttal to 'haters' criticizing him for diving in a pre-season friendly against Japanese club Gamba Osaka.

The Brazilian superstar grabbed the headlines for both the right and wrong reasons in PSG's last pre-season game staged in Japan.

He helped the French champions wipe Gamba Osaka on the floor on Monday, July 25 at the Panasonic Stadium in Suita, Japan.
