Lionel Messi recently embarrassed an opponent with a sublime piece of skill, leaving the match commentator in stitches.

Messi was in action for Paris Saint-Germain against Urawa Red Diamonds in a preseason-friendly match in Japan.

He started on the bench in a game that PSG won 3-0 courtesy of goals from Kylian Mbappe, Pablo Sarabia and Arnaud Kalimuendo. Recently appointed PSG head coach Christophe Galtier introduced Messi with 30 minutes left on the clock, much to the delight of the crowd at the Saitama Stadium.

The Argentine wasn't able to get himself on the scoresheet, but as Givemesport reports, he was able to rile up the crowd with some amazing piece of footwork.

The former Barcelona captain executed some quick touches and turns to leave a Urawa Reds player on the turf. The match commentator couldn't help but laugh at the opponent's situation.

PSG stepped up their preparations for the new season, with Galtier looking to fine-tune his squad ahead of a busy campaign. The club will be chasing once again its maiden Champions League title.
