  • Vitinha has officially joined French champions Paris Saint-Germain as the Portuguese star signed a five–year deal with the Parisians
  • Having moved on loan to Wolves from FC Porto, Vitinha who failed to impress in England will play in the Ligue 1
  • The 22-year-old midfielder is delighted to take the new challenge where he will play alongside superstar Lionel Messi

French club Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of former Wolves flop Vitinha who signed a five-year deal with the Parisians.

It was gathered that the Ligue 1 outfit agreed to a fee of around £35million to ensure that the 22-year-old becomes their first signing of the summer as the player relishes a new challenge.

Daily Mail reports that Vitinha featured in 59 matches for Porto since his professional debut in 2020 and he helped the club to win the Portuguese League last season, as well as two domestic cups.

He said via PSG's website:

“A great challenge awaits me and I cannot wait to start.
“I will try to play the football I know and help the team achieve their goals as much as possible.”

Vitinha graduated from Porto’s youth team after spending most of his career in his home country, but he moved to the Premier League on loan, joining Wolves.

The wanderers, however, turned down the possibility of signing him permanently last summer and now PSG have snapped him up.

In his new challenge, the midfielder will play alongside his countrymen Danilo Pereira and Nuno Mendes and Danilo Pereira, with the latter signing permanently today.

Chelsea set to lose Hakim Ziyech

Meanwhile, Chelsea could be set to lose another top player after AC Milan indicated an interest in signing Moroccan winger, Hakim Ziyech on a season-long loan.

The 29-year-old is set to follow in the footsteps of Romelu Lukaku who recently dumped the Blues to seal a move back to the Serie A with Inter Milan on loan for one season.

AC Milan has started negotiations with Chelsea over the loan signing Ziyech who has been a long-term target for the Italian Champions.

Neymar told to move to EPL

Sports Brief earlier reported that Newcastle United forward Joelinton has asked Neymar to consider joining him at Newcastle this summer.

The future of Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain remains uncertain, with reports suggesting that he has been asked to leave.

Should Neymar leave PSG, only a few clubs can afford his huge wages and one of those clubs is Newcastle. The Saudi takeover in October last year made it the richest club in world football.
