  • Nasser Al-Khelaifi has spoken about the future of star forward Neymar Jr.'s future at Paris Saint-Germain
  • The Brazilian winger is reportedly not held in high regard at PSG anymore after Kylian Mbappe’s renewal
  • However, PSG can’t expect to sell him for anything close to the €222m they bought him for and will have to accept a much lower fee

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has warned the club's 'bling-bling' players - including Neymar - that they could be sold this summer.

Neymar has only played 35 Champions League games since joining them, providing 20 goals and 14 assists.

Out of those 34 goal involvements, only eight have come in the knockout rounds.

Although PSG reclaimed their Ligue 1 crown in 2021/22, their long-term dream of winning the Champions League was once again put on hold courtesy of an agonising last 16 defeat at the hands of eventual champions Real Madrid.

Neymar has been linked with an exit from PSG before, with Barcelona being the most likely destination.

When asked about whether Neymar will stay at the club next season amid rumours of him leaving, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told Marca:

“Neymar part of the new project or not? We can't speak about this in public.
“Some players will arrive, some players will leave the club. These are private negotiations.”

PSG Boss Al Khelaifi Launches Attack on ‘Hypocrites’ Real Madrid

Sports Brief earlier reported that Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has slammed Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid for attempting to kill the 'soul of football' with the failed European Super League competition.

Real Madrid, who earned their record-extending 14th UEFA Champions League crown, fronted the infamous European Super League (ESL), a few months before their triumph.

Despite the Spanish club's firm stance on pushing for the failed ESL breakaway, the Los Blancos defied all odds to annex Europe's premier club competition at the expense of Liverpool in Paris.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was furious and stormed the referee's dressing room and broke equipment after their game against Real Madrid.

The French club were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Carlo Ancelotti's side at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid on Wednesday night.

According to football.fr, Al-Khelaifi and PSG Sporting Director Leonardo went to the referees' locker room after the game and reportedly had "aggressive behaviour".
