French giants Paris Saint-Germain have aimed a subtle jab at Real Madrid following Kylian Mbappe's decision to stay at the Parc des Princes.

The 23-year-old forward has been the centre of a protracted transfer saga with many reports hinting that he will be joining Real Madrid at the end of the season when his contract with PSG expires.

However, in a sharp U-turn to the rumours, Mbappe opted against joining the Spanish champions. Mbappe signed a lucrative contract with PSG, which ties him to the Parisians until the summer of 2025.

In a post on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, Mbappe declared his intentions of staying in Paris in a short video clip.

Prior to PSG's final French Ligue 1 game with Metz, Mbappe was presented to the supporters with a shirt stating the number of years he will be staying at the club.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Real Madrid's top transfer target Kylian Mbappé has decided against joining the reigning Spanish champions.

After months of speculations surrounding his future, the Frenchman has decided to extend his stay with Paris Saint-Germain as opposed to a move to the Spanish capital.

According to a report via transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, Mbappé called Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez on Saturday afternoon to inform him about his decision to extend his stay with Paris Saint-Germain.
