Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has reportedly agreed to join MLS side Inter Miami as soon as his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ends in 2023.

Messi’s deal with the French club ends next summer and a move to the United States will see him gain as much as 35 percent shares at Inter Miami.

According to DirecTV as per Marca, Messi has decided to dump PSG once his contract expires and will receive a 35% stake at Inter Miami.

The club, co-owned by David Beckham was valued at between £481million and £521million last August, according to Sportico.

Earlier in the season, the co-owner of Inter Miami Jorge Mas, in a statement suggested that the Argentine had signed for the club. Mas said as per Daily Star:

“Leo Messi is still one of the best players in the world, his skills have not diminished.
"I believe, and David [Beckham] has a relationship with him, that if he leaves PSG, at the time he leaves PSG we would love to have Messi as a player at Inter Miami and be part of our community.
"Can it happen? We will push. I'm an optimist at heart - can I see it happening? It's a possibility."

Ronaldinho speaks on Messi’s career at PSG

Meanwhile, former World Footballer of the Year Ronaldinho has heaped praises on Lionel Messi, saying the Paris Saint-Germain forward has not been a complete failure.

Messi joined the current Ligue 1 champions last summer after he ended his almost two-decade spell with La Liga giants Barcelona.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has failed to live up to his billing this season, managing just six goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances.

Di Maria agrees to Juventus move

Sports Brief earlier reported that Juventus appear to have found Paulo Dybala’s replacement immediately.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Angel Di Maria has agreed on a one-year deal to join the Italian giants. Di Maria’s contract at PSG comes to an end this summer.

PSG have decided against extending the contract of the 34-year-old and he will now leave the club after their final game of the season against Metz.
