Orlando Pirates is in trouble as far as the Premier Soccer League is concerned.

The league's overworked prosecutor Zola Majavu has chosen to charge the club, after thousands of its supporters invaded the Peter Mokaba Stadium pitch nearly three weeks ago.

These fans were celebrating their team's 3-0 victory over hosts Mamelodi Sundowns, booking their place in the MTN8 final.

According to the Daily Sun, Majavu's statement read:

"I can confirm that Orlando Pirates Football Club has been charged for spectator behaviour, arising from the pitch invasion from the semi-final match between Mamelodi and themselves."
"They will appear before the PSL DC on the 14th of November at 10:30, Thereafter, I will update you further outcome of those proceedings."

This was the second instance of fans invading the pitch during the tournament. Kaizer Chiefs fell foul of the league after its supporters invaded the Danie Craven Stadium field, following a penalty shootout victory over Stellenbosch FC, as per Goal.

Folz hopes coronation provides blessing

Frenchman Romain Folz has made it a point to ingratiate himself with all those connected to AmaZulu, Sports Brief reported.

He has been on a charm offensive since joining the club recently, and has managed to guide them to the final of the MTN8, where Usuthu will pit their wits against a hungry and hurt Orlando Pirates side at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Folz, who has gained himself the nickname 'Fohloza' out in KwaZulu-Natal, was a guest of the club's chairman Sandile Zungu at the coronation of King Misuzulu last weekend, at the aforementioned venue.

There is hope among fans that the ancestors could bless Folz and his team against the Buccaneers in acknowledgement of this occasion.
