  • Former Orlando Pirates midfield magician Steve Lekoelea has ensured that the club's new players are under no illusion about the task at hand
  • "Chippa" has warned them that as much as they are of the required standard to play for the team, the pressure will be like no other experienced before
  • Pirates has been aggressive on the transfer market, signing six players already with more to come in the off-season

Orlando Pirates' new signings must understand that they are at a big club under much more pressure than ever before.

This is the stark warning Buccaneers legend Steve Lekoelea had for the likes of Bienvenu Eva Nga, Miguel Timm, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki, as well as Evidence Makgopa, who are just some of the players who have joined the club.

He told Kick Off:

"They’re good players but they need to understand that they are at a big club now. The pressure will be different. Everyone is a coach, even the fans are coaches. If you’re not putting in the right performances the fans will let you know about it. That’s just how important the badge is."

The Buccaneers were also reportedly looking at bringing in highly-rated 28-year-old Iraq international defender Mustafa Nadhim, who plies his trade for Al-Najma in Bahrain.

Orlando Pirates stalwart Happy Jele said to be on the cards of Royal AM amid uncertain Buccaneers future

If a new report surrounding Happy Jele's immediate future is to be believed, then he will be on the books of Royal AM next season.

As reported by Sports Brief, the 35-year-old Jele was meant to sign a contract extension until next year in June, but apparently, this is yet to happen.

Thwihli Thwahla is headed to the CAF Confederations Cup next season, with "Magents'" extensive experience on the African continent likely to prove invaluable to the team if he does indeed join them.
