Orlando Pirates could be parting ways with another striker, following the departure of Hellings Frank ‘Gabadinho’ Mhango.’

The Buccaneers have now put a price tag on Ghana’s Kwame Peprah as numerous clubs are rumoured to be interested in the star.

As reported by The South African, the Sea Robbers have put an R8 million price tag on the player.

The 21-year-old joined the Buccaneers from King Faisal FC in the Ghana Premier League last year. The player only cost the Sowetan side R2,3 million.

He became an integral part of their run to the CAF Confederation Cup final and was nominated for the Premier Soccer League’s Young Player of the Season award in the annual PSL Awards.

Laduma Analytics compared Peprah’s season stats compared to other forwards in the league, with the Ghanaian striker ranking among the best in the PSL.

Peprah has played 38 goals for Pirates, scoring nine goals and creating one assist, TransferMarkt confirmed.

His contract with the Buccaneers only ends in June 2024, so the club won’t be in a rush to part ways with the player.

Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah scored for Orlando Pirates on Tuesday evening as they defeated Maritzburg United in Soweto in the DStv Premiership clash.

The Buccaneers recorded a resounding 4-1 victory over Maritzburg United in their match-day 28 clash at the Orlando Stadium.

Kwame Peprah stuck home from the edge of the box into the bottom left corner as the ball grazed the inside of the post for Pirates second goal on the stroke of halftime.

Kwame Peprah nominated for top award in South Africa

Sports Brief earlier reported that Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah has been nominated for the Young Player of the Season in South Africa's top flight.

The 20-year-old has impressed in his maiden season for Orlando Pirates, scoring five goals in 21 games for the Pirates.

Peprah will compete for the award against Athenkosi Mcaba of Stellenbosch FC and SuperSport United star Luke Fleurs.
