After the game, Mandla Ncikazi launched a scathing verbal attack on the Tanzanian team, the match officials, the media and the country. Many were surprised by Ncikazi’s brazen comments and have praised him for it.

Simba SC were unhappy with the comments made, and CEO Barbara Gonzalez has indicated that they would take the matter further. She also added that her club feared for their lives when they come to South Africa for the return leg, The Citizen reported.

Gonzalez also refuted claims that Pirates were subjected to a hostile environment while in Tanzania. However, a new video has since surfaced showing that the South African side did encounter issues before the game.

Sports anchor, Thomas Mlambo, shared a video on his Twitter showing Pirates’ officials arguing with a security officer before entering the building.

People took to social media to support Ncikazi’s comments, saying that Simba SC were guilty of that type of behaviour towards other teams.

Here's how social media reacted:

@mshengulala:

"People might rubbish Mandla Ncikazi's interview as him being a sore loser or Pirates fans rubbish it because they don't like him as a coach but he said what needed to be said. This thing of treating visiting teams like sh*t has been going on for too long. The VAR one is cheating."

@Ta_Fitty

"Brother Ncikazi saying what has been needed to say. That thing of mistreating visiting teams only happens here in Africa."

@juca_siyabulela:

"History will remember him for this and every football supporter from SA should be proud of Mandla Ncikazi."

"I don't think we deserved to lose": Mandla Ncikazi reacts to Orlando Pirates' defeat against Simba SC

Orlando Pirates co-coach, Mandla Ncikazi, does not think that the Buccaneers deserved to lose their CAF Confederation Cup game to Simba SC. Simba beat Pirates by a single goal, courtesy of a Shomari Kapombe penalty.

Simba won the penalty after former Orlando Pirates player Bernard Morrison was tackled in the box by Happy Jele, SuperSport.com reported. However, Jele and the rest of the Pirates side were unhappy with the decision, and Ncikazi was even shown a yellow card for complaining to the officials. Ncikazi’s frustration didn’t end there, though.

Earlier, Sports Brief noted that Ncikazi blamed the aggressive treatment they received in Tanzania during the press conference after the game. He also took aim at the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), KickOff reported.
