Napoli Boss Luciano Spalletti Hunts Down Juventus Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri for Awkward Handshake

Prior to Napoli's clash against Juventus at the Diego Maradona Stadium on January 13th, Juventus had kept eight clean sheets in a row.

It was a clash between the first-placed and second-placed teams - a game that was supposed to provide insights into how the Scudetto title would pan out.

The two coaches, Luciano Spalletti and Massimiliano Allegri exchanged light jabs, questioning each other's coaching philosophy and ideas.

They, however, exchanged a warm embrace before kick-off and from the word go, Allegri's side were in trouble. Napoli were out to rectify the mistakes against Inter Milan a week ago that saw them drop points for the first time this season.

The Victor Osimhen factor

In the end, Napoli put five past Juventus with Victor Osimhen underlining his credentials as this season's Most Valuable Player with a brace and an assist. The Nigerian hitman took his season tally to 12 goals. No one has scored more goals than him.

Allegri was down and out and after the final whistle, quickly raced back to the dressing room to reflect on what happened. But a video circulating online shows Spalletti hunting him down for the usual handshakes between the managers after games.

Spalletti kept backtracking until he got the attention of his opposite number who duly obliged to an embrace. Just not as warm as the one they had before the game began.

Napoli are now 10 points clear from second-placed AC Milan who have a game in hand.

Why Osimhen is the best player in Serie A

Sports Brief has also reported that former Juventus midfielder Raffaele Ametrano has named Nigerian star Victor Osimhen as the best striker presently in Italy stressing that he is impressed with his games.

The Super Eagles youngster has been commanding lots of respect since he moved to Napoli from Lille in 2022 and he keeps on getting goals for the Blues.

Although Osimhen struggled in his first season at Napoli due to injury, the Nigerian was still able to register 14 goals in 27 games.
