A former Chelsea star Gianfranco Zola has tipped Victor Osimhen to be crucial when Napoli take on Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

There are fears that Osimhen might be ruled out of the action due to injury, but Zola suggests that the striker could be the game changer.

Zola said as per Anfield Watch:

"Spalletti’s Napoli have a great opportunity to beat Klopp’s Liverpool if they play with the right weapons.
“The pace, in a match against Liverpool is completely different from that of the league.
“I am confident. Napoli have good technical values. We hope there is Osimhen – his absences due to injury weighed on last season. And then there is that boy, the Georgian Kvaratskhelia. Napoli can enhance this group.”

The last time Liverpool travelled to Italy, they emerged victorious against Inter Milan.

Osimhen still on Manchester United’s radar

Meanwhile, English Premier League club Manchester United are still interested in Victor Osimhen after missing out on the Nigerian international this summer.

It was gathered that the Red Devils are still determined to land the Napoli striker and have set their sights on the January transfer window.

There had been talks of a possible swap deal involving the 23-year-old and Cristiano Ronaldo, but such only ended as a rumour.

Mutiu Adepoju says Umar Sadiq reminds him of Rashidi Yekini

Sports Brief earlier reported that former Nigerian international Mutiu Adepoju has stated that Real Sociedad's new signing, Umar Sadiq, reminds him of ex-Super Eagles forward Rashidi Yekini.

According to Adepoju, the lanky Umar, who has been impressive in recent times, has all it takes to catch up with Yekini.

The former midfielder stated in a chat with Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo that the former Almeria striker has the ability to adapt quickly.
