Italian Club Napoli Give Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen Condition to Pay Him €1M Special Bonus

Italian outfit Napoli are ready to splash €1 million as a special bonus for Nigerian international Victor Osimhen if he scores 20 goals in a season.

It was gathered that the agreement was part of the Italian club's bid to lure the Nigerian international from French side Lille.

Sunnews Nigeria reports that Osimhen is aware of the clause but has stated that helping his team to win games is much more important.

“I’m very happy, it was very important to start well. We have to feel the same as last year and start in the best way. I’m not the type of player who sets a goal target, I want to score to help the team. I put the collective in front.”

Last season, Osimhen scored 14 Serie A goals, four more than his tally in his debut season at the club.

Coming into his third season, all eyes are on him to surpass his feat in the previous two seasons.

The Nigerian opened his goal account with a goal in the club’s 5-2 win over Verona.

Ademola Lookman delighted to join Atalanta

Meanwhile, Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has stated that it was easy for him to choose Atalanta as his next club.

The 24-year-old, who spent last season with Leicester City on loan from RB Leipzig completed his move to the Italian club.

Lookman, born in London, assures his characteristics are ideal for Gian Piero Gasperini’s all-attack style of football.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Footage has shown Watford players celebrate as Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis dumped the club to join Nottingham Forest.
