It was gathered that the unreserved complaints by the former Lille of France man prompted Spalletti to send him out of the training session.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Osimhen has returned to training, and Napoli boss Spalletti quelled the tension in the team by speaking to the players.

Osimhen was all smiles during training, laying to rest but means peace in camp.

Napoli play next on Wednesday against Adana Demirspor. And Osimhen would look to outdo compatriot Henry Onyekuru, who just joined the Turkish side this summer.

Napoli want €130million for Osimhen

Meanwhile, the sporting director of Italian club Napoli, Cristiano Giuntoli, has informed interested clubs to offer €130million for striker Victor Osimhen.

The 23-year-old forward has attracted interest from quite a number of English Premier League clubs, as well as German outfit Bayern Munich.

The club’s president Aurelio Laurentiis had said that only a payment of €100m would see Osimhen leave the club.

After scoring 18 goals in 32 matches in all competitions last season, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United are some of the Premier League clubs linked with Osimhen.

Osimhen ranked 5th best Nigerian player

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen, who moved to Italian club Napoli in the summer of 2020, has now been ranked as the fifth most expensive African player.

The transfer of the Nigerian international from French club Lille to the Italian outfit has been ranked as the 81st most expensive transfer of all time.

Ivorian forward Nicolas Pepe, who joined Arsenal from Lille for €79m, is the most expensive African player, followed by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who also joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund for €63.75m.
