Victor Osimhen has been criticized for his lack of fitness in Napoli’s home loss against Fiorentina on Sunday, April 10.

The Super Eagles forward was on the scoresheet as he grabbed Napoli’s second goal but could not prevent the Pertenopei from a shock 3-2 loss at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

According to a report via Complete Sports, Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti reckoned Victor Osimhen was not in the best physical shape in Sunday’s defeat.

“Osimhen wasn’t in the best shape today, as he skipped a couple of training sessions. He did well, but could’ve done better in these physical duels with Igor,”

Osimhen officially receives Serie A Player of the Month Award

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been officially presented with the Serie A Player of the Month of March award.

The 23-year-old received the award right after Napoli’s 2-3 loss at home to Fiorentina on Sunday and photos were posted via the Serie A official Twitter handle.

The Super Eagles striker found the back of the net four times in three league appearances last month to help his side continue their push for the title.
