Osimhen who continued to trouble the visitor’s defence reduced the deficit to one in the 84th minute after meeting a long pass from the defence with a chest control and a sublime finish.

Osimhen’s value rises

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen's value has risen magnificently after the Super Eagles striker's superb performances for Napoli this season have caught the attention of top European clubs.

Victor Osimhen's transfer value to €120m in a bid to scare possible suitors from making a bid for the Nigerian international.

The Naples club bought the Super Eagles striker two seasons ago from French club, Lille in a €68m deal after just one season in the Ligue 1.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Barcelona are some of the big clubs in Europe believed to have enquired about the services of the Nigerian striker as they try to strengthen their teams for next season.

Amokachi hails Osimhen over performance vs Ghana

Sports Brief earlier reported that Former Super Eagles star Daniel Amokachi has singled out Victor Osimhen as the only player who worked tirelessly against Ghana to ensure Nigeria qualified for the 2022 World Cup.

According to him, Osimhen knows what it means to represent Nigeria at the World Cup, something some players born abroad in the current Super Eagles team don't understand.

Amokachi noted that Osimhen knows what it takes to play for Nigeria because he once hawked pure water on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
