The tension between interim AmaZulu coach Brandon Truter and Swallows FC continued over the weekend with Dylan Kerr now poking fun at the situation.

Tensions escalated between the two sides when Truter took cheap shots at his former club after AmaZulu beat Swallows in a DStv Premiership clash.

Truter accused Swallows of failing to pay his settlement when they parted ways with him and also accused supporters of threatening him and his family, iDiski Times reported.

Truter’s tirade then turned towards Dylan Kerr, accusing the current Swallows manager of being a ‘cheap import.’

Dylan Kerr seems to have found the funny side of the comment and has recently poked fun at Truter’s jabs. During his post-match talk after Swallows' 2-2 draw with SuperSport United, Kerr noted that the performance was ‘not bad for a cheap import.’

Kerr also took to his Twitter account to make reference to the ‘cheap import ‘ comment, reflecting on winning last season’s Nedbank Cup with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).

There is a war of words erupting between AmaZulu's Brandon Truter and his former employer, Swallows FC. Truter was let go by Swallows in November last year after a string of poor results at the Dube Birds.

Brandon Truter returned to the DStv Premiership in March this year when he replaced Benni McCarthy at AmaZulu but is still firing shots at his former employer, Swallows FC, Sports Brief earlier reported.

AmaZulu took on Swallows on 3 May with Truter’s new side winning 1-0. After the game, Truter fired shots at his former club, claiming that he was threatened by supporters and forced out of the club. He also claimed that he was ill-treated at the club and not paid a settlement, SABC Sport reported.
