The 21-year-old pulled off a sensational leap, famous of Cristiano Ronaldo, to head past the goalkeeper in their 3-0 win over Sascha Burchert.

Haaland put his side ahead in the first half at the Westfalenstadion against Greuther Furth before completing his brace in the 82nd minute following a lovely assist by Julian Brandt from a free-kick.

Haaland towered over Furth defender Maximilian Bauer and turned his header past Burchert into the bottom right corner of the net. A fan wrote via SPORTbible:

“He’s the Norwegian beast.”

Someone else posted:

“(Manchester United), give Dortmund a blank cheque and pay him what he wants.”

A third added:

“If Haaland starts scoring a lot in the air, then he might pull away from (Kylian) Mbappe…”

While a fourth wrote:

“The way he’s going he will bag 1,000 goals.”

Haaland, who has a reported £68million release clause in his current contract, has been linked with a potential exit from Dortmund next summer.

Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick appears to be laying the foundation for the club's success after drawing up a shortlist of players he wants to be signed.

Haaland linked with a move to Manchester United

Rangnick was recently named United boss to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was shown the door after a string of poor results.

The German has already recommended four signings he wants the Red Devils to make ahead of the winter and summer transfer windows.

According to the publication, it is completely understandable the tactician is looking to bolster his squad considering United's turbulent start to the season.

There is every chance Rangnick will be keen to reinforce the midfield and attack departments, with Erling Haaland top on the wish list.
