- Haaland has been heavily linked with several clubs including United, but the Red Devils’ boss seems uninterested
- Rangnick stated that Manchester United have more than enough quality strikers and he is ready to work with them
Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has disclosed that it does not make sense to spend heavily on a striker like Erling Haaland, Metro reports.
The Borussia Dortmund forward has become a major target for several top European clubs, but United fans who are hoping to see the Norwegian become a Red Devils need to hold their breath.
It appears the Old Trafford club won’t be attempting to sign the striker anytime soon as reports from Germany claim Rangnick dismissed he could offer just €10m (£8.5m) if he managed to convince Haaland to move to Old Trafford.
Erling Haaland Scores Insane Cristiano Ronaldo-Like Header To Help Dortmund Secure Important Victory
The manager said via SPORTbible:
"Let me have a look; £10 million for Erling Haaland, £10m for Kylian Mbappe, £10m for Robert Lewandowski, £10m for Joshua Kimmich. This is nonsense obviously, there are no such clauses in my contract.
"It doesn't make sense. I'm more than happy [with the squad]. The offensive strike power we have here, all of the offensive players we have here, quite a few of them didn't play yesterday [against Arsenal] - Martial only came on in the last five minutes, Mason [Greenwood] didn't play at all.
“We have so many top players in the offensive department that we don't need to speak about any other players."
Rangnick has previous history with Haaland after being involved in the move to bring him to RB Salzburg from Molde in January 2019.

The 63-year-old German tactician will now take over at the club until the end of the season following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
