Real Madrid and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo has called 2016 'probably his best year so far'.
Ronaldo won the Champions League, Club World Cup and European Super Cup with Real Madrid and the European Championships with Portugal.
Speaking at the Globe Soccer Awards, the 31 year old said he feels he silenced his remaining doubters with a trophy-laden 2016.
Ronaldo was rewarded for his stunning year with the Ballon d'Or this month, best player at the Globe Soccer Awards and voted the best European sportsperson of 2016 by the 27 international news agencies.

Speaking via a recorded message, Rronaldo called the year his best collectively and individually.
He ended his message by saying his thank you to his teammates from Portugal and Real Madrid.
Ronaldo's national team boss, Fernando Santos, was named coach of the year at the same ceremony while Real Madrid were awarded the team of the year trophy.
Jorge Mendes was named agent of the year while former Chelsea and current Roma winger Mohamed Salah was awarded the Arab player of the year award.
